At Chicago Semester, we have the unique opportunity to use the city as our laboratory. Students often find themselves leaving the classroom and exploring the cultures and history of Chicago firsthand through class outings to various places all around the city.

Seminars are held on Wednesdays at the Chicago Semester office and taught by CS staff. Chicago Semester requires all general students to enroll in the internship and practicum course and two CS seminars (even if credit is not needed at home institution). Student teachers enroll in the internship (which includes the professional seminar) and typically do not enroll in additional seminars. Social work and nursing students enroll in the internship (which includes the professional seminar) and one CS seminar. Please check with your advisor or refer to the college credit portion of the website to find information on course requirements.
